As a travel planner, we play a key role in the success of our clients’ vacations. The position requires a unique mixture of sales and customer service skills.
At Wanderlove Vacations, we want our agents to offer a full service, planning experience to their clients. Our agents will help book hotel accommodations, theme park tickets, transportation needs, tours, activities, dining reservations, spa treatments, stroller rentals, scooter rentals, photographer services, etc. We ask our agents to always keep an open line of communication with your clients to answer their questions through the planning process.
-
Your first clients will usually be your friends and family. You’ll want to get the word out in all your social circles, like school, church, community groups, playgroups, professional networks – anywhere there might be people who want to travel!
Once you have a few clients start to travel, you’ll find that the referrals will start to build. It can take time to build a successful travel business, but you may be surprised how quickly word spreads about your knowledge and expertise.

All our Agents at Wanderlove Vacations are Independent Contractors and will need to pay $300 annually to the agency. This fee helps cover the costs for each travel planner to have:
G Suite (a Google business account that includes a Wanderlove Vacations email address and access to the agency Google Drive, Calendar and other applications)
CRM access/license (a “CRM” is Customer Relationship Management software; this is the database we use to track clients and commissions)
E&O insurance, or Errors and Omissions insurance, which is a type of professional liability insurance that protects businesses and professionals against claims of negligence, errors, or omissions in the services they provide.
Also covered is:
License to use the Wanderlove Vacations trademark
Bonds, industry licenses and administrative costs
There is no cost for the online training and the mentoring provided by Wanderlove Vacations.
As an independent contractor, you are responsible for providing yourself with a computer and internet access. You are responsible for any added costs such as printing materials for marketing purposes, printing/mailing client travel documents, gifts to clients, or if you decide to sponsor an ad on social media or at a local community event.
-
No, there are no sales minimums required to be a part of Wanderlove Vacations.

Travel planners are paid a commission by the travel supplier. The amount of commission will vary from supplier to supplier.
As a Wanderlove Vacations independent contractor, you’ll be booking under our Industry ID number, called a CLIA number, and will have the support of our infrastructure (website, insurance, surety bond, industry licenses, etc.) and in exchange you split the commission earned on the trips you sell with Wanderlove Vacations.
Agents just starting out receive a 70/30 split with Wanderlove Vacations meaning you earn 70% of the commission on trips you sell. As your business grows and you establish your client base, you’ll have the opportunity to earn a higher commission split of up to 85/15.
